to cut the stomach. Here, an allegory for Germany: At the end of WWII, Germany was literally cut in half by the western allied forces and the Russians. will be born with two heads: represents the result of that division: West germany and East Germany. and four arms: After the surrender, four countries were competing for a coveted prize: a part of Germany and the control of Berlin. After lenghty negociations, the country was divided in two blocks: east and West, and split in four parts: Wurtemberg (Bavaria) to the Americans , Saxony to the Soviets, Baden to French and Lower-Saxony to the British. Berlin had the same fate: the town became West-Berlin and East-Berlin and was divided in four sectors: one for the East to the Soviets, and the three others went to the Americans, the French and the British. a few years will live as such. True to Nostradamus words, the four sectors disappeared a few years later, when Russia erected the Iron curtain and West Germany was isolated from its Eatern part. |

(P.734) Octobre 12 [1945]
Following a meeting of the Presidium of the German Popular Council and the Democratic Anti-Fascist Block of the Soviet occupation zone, the two organizations decide that, in view of the recent proclamation of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Popular Council must form the Democratic republic of Germany. [naitra avec deux têteswill be born with two heads]
To this end, the Council held a plenary session on October 7. During this session, the National Council approved the manifesto of the Popular Front and decided to set itself into a Provisory Chamber of the People, allowing as Constitution of the RDA, the constitutional document previously presented by the Popular Council in May 1949. Thus was born the Democratic Republic of Germany.
The country is split in two and divided in four sectors.

As you can see on the map [top left], there were, after the war, two governing factions [two heads] in Germany, the Russians and the Allies of the three western sectors [four arms], a portent of what would happen many years later, when the Russians finally erected the 'iron curtain', thus splitting Germany in two.
