The ultimate attainment of the present life, and the purpose of all the lives we experience on this tridimensional plane, can be summed up by these two words: CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS.
Whether we realize it, or not, there is, within each and everyone of us, a longing for the lost Paradise, and for the state of mind called happiness. This longing stems from the unconscious recognition that it is our birthright to be unconditionally happy, and have our share of all the good things in God's Kingdom. Everyone longs for love and happiness, and those who do not understand that loving is giving, will go to great extent in order to reach their goal, even if it means crushing others in the process. Once we understand that LOVE is a Universal Law, and that as we give, so we shall receive, we fall under the law, the veil is lifted from our eyes, and we realize that we are indeed the Christ, manifesting into the world as Sons and Daughters of the one Principle, GOD.
Thus will our world become that haven of joy and happiness, it was intended to be at the beginning of our creative endeavours on the earth plane.
And Jesus said: "A prophet has no honor in his native land; he is not well received among his kin; his foes are in his home." And Jesus wrought not many mighty works in Nazareth, because the people had no faith in him. He did not tarry long.
[The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, by Levi]
Heaven and Hell are states of mind, and Christ Consciousness is the only way through which God's children can attain Nirvana, or the state of mind called Heaven, or Paradise. It is the vibratory level where one perceives the totality of all that is, and is in atonement with the Creative Energy of all Life.
Jesus walked the earth, for the sole purpose of bringing mankind to the realization that there is no death; that immortality is here and now, and that we are all, without exception, the children of our Father, and heirs to the many mansions of His eternal and boundless Kingdom.
Throughout the centuries, the teachings of Jesus have been translated, interpreted and misconstrued, and this, under the supervision of the Church, who saw to it that the teachings reflect the biases and materialistic concepts that had infiltrated the doctrine. This is why, encased that they are in dogmas and orthodoxy, many of the teachings have become stumbling blocks, that hamper christians' freedom of expression, and compels them to view spirituality through the lenses of a blind and limited religiosity. This is the way things are in all great religions of the world, because they misconstrued the teachings of the avatars and prophets who incarnated in the world at each crucial period of its history.
The disciples themselves were very down-to-earth individuals, and it was a long time before they could realize that Jesus was in the world, but not of it; that he was living in a kingdom, where limitations had been removed; that he was seeing the world from a perspective, far beyond anything his contemporaries could have imagined, a perspective where Jesus had come to realize, that he was living with and among the dead. And when he talked about the resurrection of the dead, he was not referring to those who had shelled the physical body, but to them, his own contemporaries, and all the tridimensional humanity of these times and times to come. Even before he began his ministry, Jesus had transcended the physical, as we know it. He had been born again, on the physical plane, to the only true life, the Life with no barriers and no limitations, the Life Everlasting. All his teachings had no other purpose than make the disciples, and all humanity, realize, they could be born again of the spirit, not after the transition, but then and there, on this earth plane they inhabited; that they had no need to die in order to transcend materiality; that they reincarnated, again and again, for the specific purpose of perfecting a human body, and this, to the point, where they become aware, once again, that it is truly the temple of the Living God. It is in this state of perfection, and from that perspective, that Jesus gave all his teachings, and this is why it has been so difficult for the Jews, the gentiles, and all humanity, to understand, that he spoke of themselves, when he said: Let the dead bury the dead!
Although his teachings were all pointing in that direction, the disciples did not understand very well his concept of immortality and Christ Consciousness. He was telling them they were all Masters and Christs of God, but, to them, there was only one Master and one Christ, Jesus. They were in awe of what they called 'his miracles,' and they were far from believing, they could show the same wisdom, and accomplish the same healing of the body he performed during his ministry. They were like children, discovering new wonders at every corner, or each step they made. They did not stop, even for a moment, to ask themselves what was the real purpose of all these so-called miracles, that were only the workings of a natural law, humanity had, and still has, yet, to discover.
Although it is quite possible, it is doubtful that any of the disciples attained Christ Consciousness in that specific life. It is more in conformity, with the evolutionary process of life, to believe, that their life in the times of Jesus, brought them a step further on the road to Illumination, and to the eventual reunion with the Godhead. However, it is normal to assume that, in the last two thousand years, many of them have finally transcended materiality, and taken their rightful place in the Kingdom, by the side of Jesus, Buddha and other Masters that have followed them. However, this transcendence would rather be the culmination of a personal transformation, and not necessarily the result of a life experience where religion played a key role.
Because it has not understood Jesus' teachings concerning the Christ and the Resurrection, the Church has used a self-granted discretionary power, to elevate some of its departed members to the rank of saints and heavenly mediators. In a true sense of the word, a saint is one, who has so perfected his human body, that he is able to conquer death, and bring that body with him, when leaving this plane. It goes to say, that anyone who goes through the dying process, and the shedding of the physical body, has not attained sainthood, or the state of mind called Christ Consciousness. Although this individual may have led a life of service, or been a martyr, he may have to reincarnate, and each time, try to perfect that body so that he can become, once again, a Christ, a son of God.
Those who, in the manner of Jesus, have attained Christ Consciousness, and can, therefore, be called saints, are more numerous than we think, but they are not necessarily the ones we invoke in our churches, as their approach to life was a universal one, and they were not bound to a specific religion, creed or belief system. Universality of thought and action, is a prerequisite of sainthood. Whoever clings to a specific creed, or religion, and hopes to find salvation and illumination in the limited atmosphere of church rites and doctrines, will have to reincarnate until the time he, or she, realizes that the Church is within, and its members are all humanity. Illumination or sainthood, is the simple recognition of who we really are, and will ever be, in the multidimensional universe of God. It is the total awareness that we are divine beings, with the gifts and attributes of the Father, for we are in the Father as the Father is within us.
Although it was not the original purpose, the custom of elevating human beings to the rank of saints, has served the cause of the church, for it gives the faithful, the impression of belonging to a movement, that has a deep affinity with the spiritual world, which, in a cosmic sense, is correct, for we are all spiritual beings. However, this affinity has nothing to do with rites and ceremonies, and the Church, or churches, are not the unique passageway to Heaven they are believed to be. All religions are striving after the same goal, and they all originate from the same source. None of them can claim a special status, and, they are, each in their own personal way, at the service of humanity.
Thus, as a result of a materialistic approach to life, the saints of Christianity have replaced Jupiter, Adonis, Horus, and all the other gods of antiquity. They have found their special niche in most churches of the world, but, all the candles that adorn the icons and statues, will never help grant our wishes, and neither will they light the dark corridors of our ignorance. Light is within, the source is within, and only there can we find the answer to all our prayers. In this sense, the infallibility of the Church is a nonsenseThe beatification and sanctification of earth people, who lived an exemplary life, are materialistic customs that stem from the ignorance of karmic laws and a misunderstanding of the nature of God. In this sense, the infallibility of the Church is a nonsense, for it gives human beings a discretionary power, on whether one of them has attained a state of perfection, or not. Only God, the God within, has the right to judge the progress of a specific life (or all lives). The state of mind, or attainment, we reach after the transition, cannot be defined by the Church. This attainment is a prerogative of the spirit, and the level reached in all dimensions of life, is the consequence of how we master the laws of creation. The place we occupy is always according to the awareness we have, of our own status in the cosmic universe, of which we are the center. Not many 'saints' have attained Christ Consciousness in their times, and, not many either, have overcome physical death, and freed themselves of the cycle of birth and rebirth. Therefore, it is not disrespectful to say that many of them have reincarnated since their beatification, or sanctification, and this, in order to progress even further on the road to perfection.
If the Church had kept the reincarnation principle in its doctrine, it would not have gone through all that trouble to find intercessors in the spiritual world. As we find in the scriptures, many are called and few are chosen, (Matt. 22-14)and we must all come back, life after life, to fulfil our karmic obligations, in order to reach the state of perfection, and become 'saints'. When a human being reaches that state, which, in actuality, is the balance of the physical, mental and spiritual body, it is possible for him to transcend materiality and become the Christ, the multidimensional and total being, with the power to materialize and dematerialize the body, thus triumphing over material limitations and death. Jesus has attained this state of perfection and conquered death, and he became the Christ, the first begotten Son of God.
From all corners of Christianity, prayers and supplications rise towards those the Church has elevated to the rank of 'saint,' but, even though it is a good practice to send our thoughts to those of the spiritual world, it is important to remember, that the more mediators there are between us and our God, the further and less accessible that God is. The straight line is always the shortest road between two given points, and the fastest way to communicate with God, is to understand that He is right there within the human body, and hears all our prayers and supplications. We are the deaf ones, and this is why we feel the need to put ourselves into the hands of mediators, who will do the work for us.
The search for nirvana, or the state of mind called heaven, is the ultimate goal of all mankind, because it is the natural state of all Sons and Daughters of God, to be unconditionally happy. There is a certain metal that, after being twisted, has the faculty to revert to its original state, if you heat it up to a certain degree. We are like this metal, and as soon as we rid ourselves of all the limitations that keep us captive in the unreality of our tridimensional reality, our total self, spirit, mind and body, will revert to its original state, that of Divine Being, and we will take our rightful place in the many mansions of the greater Universe of God. Jesus said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'(Acts 20:, 35), and one can only find true happiness, through the energy of love he, or she, bestows upon others, and through the service given to those that are needy. Those who do not understand the dynamics of that energy will only find emptiness around them. Although they have access to wealth and material possessions, their life will have no meaning, unless they use this wealth to help others. Once mastered, this energy of love will fill their spirit, soul and body, and thus illuminated, they will present their new total self, the Christ, to the world, as true sons and true daughters of God. With God as their shepherd, the cup will never empty, and Christ's abundance will be theirs forever.
In a greater spectrum of reality, we have all received God's abundance, here and now, equally, and without discrimination of race, creed, or religious beliefs. How can we believe that God would starve some of His children, while giving others more than they need? God is not mocked, and we are only in need, because we are blind to the fact that we are gods, and it is our own refusal to accept that Divinity, that brings upon us the limitations of this tridimensional plane. The law of cause and effect, is but the consequence of this refusal, that forces us to reincarnate, again and again, in the tridimensional worlds, and, sometimes, in very difficult roles. Each of us is at a different stage of development, but we are all, without exception, on the road back to God.
The earth incarnation is not a mere curiosity to experience materiality, but a mission of life. The physical planes are schools of experience, and it is only by experiencing the harshness of life, that we can grow in love and understanding. We are not the puppets of a benevolent, or avenging deity, we are the physical expression of God, manifesting His omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience, through each of His creatures. The divine laws are immutable, and we are all in the state, condition, and dimensional level, that corresponds to the vibratory rate we have reached. There is no judge and no savior but ourselves. Every day is Judgment Day. Thus, living in the unreality of this tridimensional world, we cling to material and transient possessions. The more we accumulate, the more materialistic we become, unless we share, as Jesus did, the surplus with others that are less fortunate, thus fulfilling the laws of Love and Compassion, As you give, so you shall receive. This, of course, does not mean that one should give all that he has to follow in Jesus' footsteps, and, if you remember what has been said before, the rich young man of the Gospel was asked, not to sell all that he possessed, but to sell, or rid himself of, the negativity, materialism and greed, and this, the young man couldn't do.
The road to Heaven is narrow, and full of pitfalls, for it is only through love and service that one can transcend materiality, and gain access to God's Kingdom. It has been the error of the Church, and all other religions, to believe that asceticism, fast, indulgences, communion, confession, and rites, are the means to attain sainthood. These are all materialistic, and egotistic ,concepts centered on the self, as they all aim at the same goal, the saving of one's own soul. When he said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it (Matt. 16:25), Jesus meant. that it is not by centering on the self and the saving of our soul, that we can gain access to 'Paradise', but only through love, selflessness and service to others. This Nirvana, or Paradise, is not apart from us. It is a part of us, a gift that we unveil and express, because it is already there, ready to pour Its love, wisdom, and treasures, on all those who 'dare to see the vision and endure'. It is there, within the temple of the body, it has always been there since the beginning of creativity, and it will be there eternally. It is only our limitations, and our selfishness, that prevent us from expressing, in our life, the God-like qualities of the Sons and Daughters of God that we are. We do not need any special course, or training; we do not have to belong to any church, or denomination. All we need is the simple expression of our goodness, our love for humanity, our desire to be of service, and the constant awareness that we are truly Divine Beings, the Children of our Father. It is our birthright, and ultimate goal, to be unconditionally happy, and if we do ask in all truthfulness, we have already received. We are not at the service of God. It is God who serves us, each day, each minute and each second of our life.
This longing for the lost Paradise, has led humanity to search for happiness in religions that, for lack of instant nirvana, offered the perspective of a future Heaven of immortality and eternal bliss. However, in the course of centuries, this appeal gradually lost its charm, as people began to awaken from their lethargy, and became aware of the universe that surrounded them. Not that they did not believe in a future Heaven, but they were not so sure anymore, that it could be found in the restricted atmosphere of a religion, based on dogmas and orthodoxy.
The schisms that rocked the Church, are the consequence of this awakening, and the many masters that have incarnated in the last two thousand years, have made an enormous breach in its belief system. Consequence of this, there is now a multitude of churches, each of them trying to find, in their own way, the road that leads to God. Hoping to find what they are searching for in a new faith, many have joined the various new sects, cults, religions, and spiritual centers, that are proliferating in the USA, Canada and other parts of the world. All these TM centers, yoga courses, and seminars of all kinds, are the proof that there is now, more than at any other time in the history of mankind, a desire to unveil the so-called mysteries of life, and a search for our true identity and relationship, with that Universal Energy we call God.
Such a proliferation of religions is a sure sign that people are eager to learn. It is, however, a Damocles' sword, for it leads to religious anarchy and intolerance, the likes of which can be seen on our TV screens, and in the small churches that are now proliferating in all parts of the world. Even though some of their budding evangelists and preachers may be of good faith, most of these churches have but little knowledge of things spiritual, and it's always the same old teachings of hell and damnation, and the same old chorus, Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! These are the standard-bearers of a new generation of worshippers, who turned to the Bible for guidance, because they could not find, in the religion of their birth, the comfort and reassurance they needed on the road of life. And this is why, placed in the hands of inexperienced students, the Bible has replaced the religion of their Baptism, and this new form of worship has become their Golden Calf, and their road to Salvation.
The Church is, in part, responsible for this state of things, because it has chosen to remain in its ivory tower of orthodoxy and dogmas, rather than open itself to the needs of its flock. It has been so for centuries, and the Church's establishment refuse obstinately to make amends and correct its errors, and it still clings to the eroneous beliefs that have been gleaned, here and there, and through the centuries, by a materialistic religiosity, that did not recognize the free-will of expression ofthat were under its care.
By a strange irony of fate, all organized religions have seen their churches emptying at an alarming rate, while these small 'Christian communities' are now building their own churches, each of them centered on the Bible and the teachings of their pastors. Most of these pastors give their own personal interpretation of the Scriptures, and emulate their TV idols, to the point where it ,sometimes, becomes a farce and a parody of the Scriptures. They were little tots in the kindergarten of spirituality, and, instead of progressing to the elementary school of life, they chose to build a little kindergarten of their own, where the student becomes the teacher, even before he learns the alphabet of life.
Nowadays, the name of Jesus is so abused and misused, that one feels dizzy just listening to the many radio and TV evangelists and pastors, who hide their ignorance behind a screen of biblical quotations, praises and, not the least, the never-ending collections and appeals, where the key-word is: give, give and give. They talk about Jesus the Christ, not as a teacher, but as an idol that they praise, and sing to, unceasingly. They quote the Bible, without understanding the true meaning behind the words. They distort the teachings to suit their own ends, and they brandish 'sin' like a sword, in order to scare all those who have been raised in these materialistic and childish beliefs. Thus, the true teachings come in second place, when they are not, purely and simply, evaded, and Jesus becomes the idol that they rely on, to gain new adepts and raise funds. No need to say that one will never find, in these teachings, the road to Life Everlasting, because, in their blindness, these preachers teach a religion of worship and idolatry, and they perpetuate the biases and erroneous beliefs of the Old Testament. These are the false prophets of this generation. These are the blind teachers, that mankind has generated, through its materialism, its fear of the unknown, and its erroneous conception of the God we all represent. They are the product of a materialistic religiosity, and the true representatives of the present humanity. No one can obtain God's favor with money, and all the gifts of the earth will not open the door to Heaven.
Many people believe that the mere fact of belonging to the 'right' religion opens the door to what they call Paradise, but, once and for all, humanity must come to the realization that spiritual development is not the privilege of religions. It is the privilege of the self, the 'I AM' within the body. God does not require any form of praise or worship. It is not a matter of being agreeable to God. It is a matter of being in accord with the laws of the universe. It has nothing to do with praise and worship. It has everything to do with love, compassion and the purpose of our mission in the world. GOD IS, and whatever form of worship we may have, none is greater than the God within, the Lord-God of creation.
The organized churches are, indeed, responsible for the rise of all the false prophets of this generation. They chose to remain in their ivory towers, and govern their flock with an iron hand, rather than be their guiding light on the road of life. However, this does not mean there aren't sincere people within the evangelical movements, as well as within the great religions of the world. This does not mean either, that they are on the wrong path. The path is within, and whoever follows the law of Love one another is on the right path, whether he is a Catholic, a Protestant, a Buddhist, or an atheist. We have had many lives, and many experiences. We have been part of many races, and many religions, and all these various roles have been for the sole purpose of understanding the self, in order to regain our true status in the universe. The seeming division of energies, represented by the various religions, will fall apart, once we come to the understanding that we are all brothers and sisters, and children of the same Father. Life is an unending progression, and, either in this, or a future life, we will, eventually, find the road that leads to the Godhead.
Jesus has said: "I come that they may have life, and have it to the fullest." (John 10:10) How can we have life, when our thoughts are centered on the dread of old age and death. It is difficult for us to believe that we are divine beings, because we have been raised in the belief that we are earthworms and sinners. We have been told that we are dust, and must return to dust, when the ultimate goal of all our lives is to transcend materiality, here and now. We have been taught that Jesus came to redeem our sins, and yet, Jesus never lingered over the notion of sin. He knew that sin exists only in the mind of those who see evil everywhere, when they should see God in every minute particle of creation. If we want to erase sin from our world, we must, first, erase it from our mind. Thoughts are things, and the more we concentrate on the positiveness of our experience, leaving aside all negativity, the more we have access to the God within, and the inexhaustible abundance of His Kingdom When Jesus said:
Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God." [Luke 9: 60] he was merely recognizing the true state of humanity that delights itself in material limitations. We are, in actuality, in a death state, and the life we live is a dream from which we can awaken at any given moment. It is man's free will to remain in that death state, as well as it is man's birthright to raise the Christ within the body, thus soaring into the multidimensional universe, and becoming in atonement with the Creative Force of all Life.
Now, more than at any other time in the history of mankind, there is a thirst for understanding. Unfortunately, churches have failed in their task. In their own search for a personal God, they have misconstrued Jesus' teachings, and have falsified some of them to the point, where they no longer represent true spirituality. They have clothed themselves with the rich garments of materialism, erecting altars to wrap their God in a veil of mystery, and sculpting idols to soothe the anxieties of a fearful humanity.
In the 'Sermon on the Mount', Jesus gives the true significance of the ten commandments and he expounds on the danger of idolatry: "And when men make a God of stone, or wood, or clay, they make an image of a shade; and they who worship at the shrine of shades are shades. So God in mercy said, You shall not carve out images of wood, or clay, or stone. Such idols are ideals, abased ideals, and men can gain no higher planes than their ideals. The God is Spirit, and in spirit men must worship if they would attain a consciousness of God." (The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ Chap. 96: 12-15) God is not in the churches, and He does not hide Himself in the tabernacles of religions. He is everywhere to be seen in full daylight. He reaches out to us, and yet, we are blind to the fact that God is the totality of all that is, refusing to believe that He manifests through each one of us, as He manifests through every minute particle of His creation. We have received the ultimate gift from God: He made us in His image, and we became co-creators with Him. Now is the time to claim that birthright.
Humanity is at the end of a minor cycle where we pass from the age of Pisces into the age of Aquarius. This cycle coincides with the end of a major cycle, the precession of the equinoxes, that also coincides with the end of a still greater cycle, the Kali Yuga, (the Age of Iron). All these cycles are stages in man's journey towards his ultimate goal, and we are in the final stage, called the progression of the life waves, where we will be given the chance to graduate to the next dimensional level of existence, and initiate the New Golden Age of humanity. * The progression of the life waves of this last Yuga, is that moment in time, when, for the first time in the history of the world, an esoteric vibration will move across the galaxy, and give us all a chance to enter a new vibration, a new consciousness, the Christ Consciousness, that will last for a symbolical thousand cosmic years. This earth (the physical) will pass, but the New Order will last forever.
At the dawn of this New World and this New Humanity, that has been hoped for, and expected, for billions of years, we are given the chance, once again, to claim our inheritance. There is no Savior, and no short cut, in this ultimate venture. This is the part of the road that we must travel alone. This is the battle of Armageddon, the fight between the forces of good and the forces of evil. This battle will be fought within the confines of our own inner self, and the victors will present the Christ to the world, and take their rightful place in the Kingdom of God.
We can live forever, in and out of the body, and on any dimensional level of existence, if we treat that body as an intrinsic part of the total self, that is, as the manifestation of God on the earth plane. This is our birthright, not a right that will be ours, only after the transition, but a birthright, here and now, on this plane that we inhabit. We are the Sons and the Daughters of the First Principle of All Life, and we can all partake of the inexhaustible Energy of that Force, because it is the birthright of Sons and Daughters, to partake of all the good things in their Father's Kingdom. WE ARE GOD!
* Moira Timms' book 'Prophecies and Predictions' gives us an insight into these cycles of humankind's history, as well as takes us on a journey that changes our own outlook on life. As she mentions so justly, this book is everyone's guide to the coming changes. It is a must, and it will become a valuable tool of reference in the next few years.
